Jaxson Dart celebrates Giants pick in jubilant NFL draft scene

Dismissed Jackson Dart could barely contain his excitement Thursday night when the Giants returned to the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft and chose him No. 25.

Family and friends attended for a draft night gathering in Kaysville, a native of Utah.

Dart, 21, embraced his parents, Brandon and Kara Dart, as their surrounding loved ones celebrated his big blue moment.

The 6-foot-2 signalling caller was the second and last quarterback selected in the first round on Thursday night.

Miami’s Cam Ward went to Titan in general first, but Colorado’s Chedure Sanders slipped out of the first round.

The Giants, who grabbed Premier Edge Rusher Abdul Carter in Pick No. 3, traded for a Texans’ first round pick at No. 25, and sent back a second round in 2025 (34), a third round in 2025 (99), and a third round pick from 2026.

Dirt previously spoke to Post’s Jenna Lemon Seri about his potential to play in New York and what the opportunity means for him.

“It’s a historic and legendary organization,” he said. “And all I can say is that I’ll get up the city and win a lot of games and win the Super Bowl.”

As he tries to begin his NFL journey, Dirt moves to the pros, leaning against his inner circle, including his brother and rising football prospects, Diesel Dirt.

“I have great corners around me. My family keeps me very grounded. We are very realistic people,” he said.

Dirt is the latest addition to the Giants’ improved quarterback room.

They added veterans Russell Wilson and Jamis Winston to their free agency and retained their homemade Tommy DeVito.

The Giants finished the 2024 season 3-14 and released starter Daniel Jones mid-season.
