Senior policy strategist May Mailman revealed her most proud achievement in an exclusive sit-in interview with Prime Minister Matthew Peterson’s Blaze News editor in President Donald Trump’s first 100 days.
Mailman tells Peterson that, in addition to the safe borders that he says are Trump’s most obvious achievements, she felt a real “cultural change” with the new administration.
“I think there’s really a cultural change,” the emailman told Peterson. “I pretty much hate the word ‘day’ because no one knows what it means, but I think I’ve seen companies change policies so they don’t discriminate any more. The government will close all offices responsible for discrimination. That’s gone. Those people were let go. ”
“I think that cultural change is something we really saw and it has changed from the government and externally.”
The Culture War was the central focus of Trump’s campaign, and now the focus of his second term. The president has signed several DEI-related executive orders in the first 100 days. These directives have had a minor crawdown effect across federal agencies that have worked to uproot discriminatory policies that assess their identity rather than merit.
“If we can have equality in our country, which is the fundamental basis of our country’s promises, then we should be treated as an individual, that we should be given the opportunity based on who you are, what more can you ask for?” the mailman said. “I think that cultural change is something we really saw and it has changed from the government and externally.”
“You can’t discriminate against people in order to do business with the government or become a contractor,” Mailman added. “You’ll start to see more and more of it, and I think it’s going to be a legacy item.”
