South Carolina’s MiLaysia Fulwiley transfers to rival LSU

Former South Carolina guard Milaysia Fulwiley has committed to LSU from the transfer portal, she It was announced on Instagram on Friday.

“Geaux Tigers💜💛,” she wrote.

Fully Wiley, known for her highlight reel plays, was the biggest name on the women’s transfer portal.

Now she makes a stunning switch to play for her former team’s bitter second rival, trading one prominent coach from Dawn Staley for another of Kim Mulkey’s.

Fulwiley announced that he will enter the portal after the Gamecocks were defeated 82-59 at the national championships on April 6th.

“I’m just trying to get better and understand a lot, I’m just trying to think about what’s best for me,” says Fullwiley. I said it in the aftermath of South Carolina’s loss in the title game.

Fullwiley was a key part of South Carolina’s unbeaten record and national championship victory from 2023-2024. She was named SEC’s sixth Player of the Year from 2024-25.

The 5-foot-10 Rising Junior will be taking part in the star-studded LSU backcourt featuring Flau’jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams.
