Wisconsin Rep. Ryan Clancy, D., said on CNN’s “suburban” broadcast on Friday that Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan “did not interfere with justice. She did not interfere with fascism.”
Clancy said, “[W]We are talking about a management warrant. We’re talking about what ICE put together internally. It’s like I’m walking around with a note in my pocket. I have one of them, but that doesn’t mean anything, right? They did not present an actual warrant signed by an actual judge. So Judge Dugan had her right to do what she did, she did not interfere with justice. In this case, she thwarted fascism. ”
He added, even if there was a judicial warrant, “We should not have ice agents in a protected space like a courtroom, making no sense, and we have said more than we want ice agents to enter the operating room or classroom.
