On News Nation’s “Cuomo” broadcast on Friday, John Sandweg, who served as acting ice director under President Obama, said Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan had “excessively stepped in.”
Sandweg said, “I want to see ice agents either come to pick him up outside the court or get him when they leave the court. You know, there was a sensitive location policy during the Biden administration. We couldn’t arrest people in the courts. I think there’s a good reason for that.”
He said, “I’m not here to protect this judge. …I think she stepped over here. I think there are other ways to apply for her objection. …I think the problem here is because of the ice, and Chris is that the Trump administration continues to put these very charged cases at the tip of the spear. For this particular case.”
