Saturday was a sweet celebration for the new giant who runs through Cam Scottebo and his girlfriend, Chloe Rodriguez.
The moment the Giants chose Arizona star in the 2025 NFL Draft, Skettebo shared a kiss with Rodriguez at an intimate draft party in Chandler, Arizona, where they watched the four-round development.
“I love supporting you, please be proud of us.” Rodriguez captioned Heartfelt Scene’s Instagram post. “Time to go back east, go to @nygiants.”
The 23-year-old Scattebo overcomes his emotions after being taken by the Giants in the fourth round. There, he will be in the running backroom, boasting Tyrone Tracy Jr. and veteran Devin Singletree in the fifth round of 2024.
“One of our favorite players in the draft,” Giants general manager Joe Shane said of the Sun Devils’ outstanding. “The way he plays, the mentality he plays, toughness, competitiveness, grit.”
Scattebo is rushing for 1,711 yards and 21 touchdowns after an explosive season. He also vacated 605 receiving yards and three scores.
“He plays in a great contact balance. He’s tough as a claw. You can use him in many ways,” Giants coach Brian Dabor said of Scattebo, who finished fifth in the Heisman poll.
“The passing game he can catch, he can run the route, he can throw the ball, and he has very good vision and quick feet. He runs with power and toughness.”
With Skattebo’s NFL adventure officially underway, Rodriguez is ready for the next chapter in New York.
Joining Instagram Stories on Saturday, she posted a cozy snap of the couple hugging as Scattebo rocked his new Giants draft cap.
“Watching your dreams come true,” Rodriguez gushed.
She previously cheered for the Sun Devils in January when Arizona fell to Texas in the thrilling 39-31 playoff loss. Skattebo was named the offensive MVP.
“I’m proud of my boooo,” she posted at the time.
Skattebo is one of the seven players the Giants have taken in this year’s draft, including Star Edge Rush Abdul Carter (No. 3), quarterback Jackson Dart (No. 25), defensive tackle Darius Alexander (65), offensive tackle Marcus MBOW (No. 154), tight end Thomas Fidorn II (No. 219), and cornerback black (No. 219).
