Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said on Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that Democrats lacked a vision for the future.
Host Kristen Welker said, “Let’s talk about what you called your Oli Head. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is across the country warning the Oli Head. The senator told The New York Times that one of this aspect is to engage people in the political process and run as independence outside the Democrats.” As someone who ran twice in the Democratic presidential primary, are you trying to start a third party? ”
Sanders said we are not trying to strengthen third parties. We are trying to strengthen American democracy. It’s very low now. Kristen lives in the wealthiest country in the history of the world, but you have one Mr. Musk. Musk owns more wealth than the bottom 53% of American households. That’s insane. It’s the steroid Olihead. Meanwhile, we live in 60% of our workers to pay their wages. We have the highest childhood poverty rates in almost every major country on the planet, with over 20% of American seniors living below $15,000 a year. What the Americans are saying is that they want and what we had to do is say they want an economy that works for us all, not just for musks and other billionaires. ”
He continued, “What Democrats lack is a vision of the future. How can all equality provide a proper standard of living for younger generations who are poorer than their parents? How can we fix a broken hash care system? Democrats are great, but that’s great.
