Michelle Obama claims black women need permission to ‘articulate pain’

Michelle Obama follows the unusual path of a former First Lady, starting a podcast and discusses important issues that black women think need permission to express their pain.

And it’s as unbearable as you would expect.

“We grew up with a woman who didn’t express any pain or burden,” Obama told brothers Craig Robinson and Taraji P. Henson. “They made it look simple. And when you make things look easy, people think you have to like this, that’s fine for you.”

“As black women, we don’t make our pain clear, because it’s like no one has given us permission to do it,” she continued.

“I think we’d care if we knew,” Robinson replied.

“In our lives, we have to ask ourselves: ‘Why wait to be asked?’ What we experience seems pretty obvious.

President Obama continues to lament that black women are “very easily labelled as angry and bitter,” while white women are considered “light” and “have the ability to see what’s going on in this world.”

“Does black women have a hard time talking about their pain? Can’t they just let it be free in America?” Jason Whitlock of “Jason Whitlock Harmony” asks co-host Shemecha Michel.

“At first I thought, ‘This is so stupid.’ That’s because what we hear and see is the pain of black women. That’s all they’re talking about. And I thought it was ironic that she was sitting there talking to Taraji P. Henson, who complained over and over again.

“Black women may not be making “pain” clear in the right way. Because every time I look back, they’re trying to tear up McDonald’s and run through baby dad, or watch some type of video to fight at Walmart in their pyjama pants and bonnet,” continues Michelle.

“So she may have the point of not ‘clearing’ the pain.
