Kevin Gaussmann was having a rough day in his office on Sunday.
One day, the Blue Jays pitcher gave up six runs with five walks and two hits, pulled out of the game and later kicked out, and he was shaking with the referee, so he fell down the stairs of the clubhouse.
it hurts!
Yes Network Camera hilariously caught Gaussmann’s fall in the first game of doubleheaders at Yankee Stadium on Sunday.
The clip showed a right-hander walking down the dugout screaming in the direction of the referee on the field.
Angry Gaussman arrived at the stairs and took a step back, but turned around the field to continue screaming. But when he did it, he lost his footing and tumbled from the camera sight.
It was certainly icing on the cake for a day that was clearly not going as Gaussmann had hoped for.
“Some days won’t work for you,” said one of the yes network broadcasters.
Gaussmann was pitched after three miserable innings. It saw him throw 53 pitches into the frame while surrendering six runs to the Yankees.
The Elias Sports Bureau reported that Pirates Cam Vee had 56 during the July 1, 2022 match against the Brewers, making it the most pitch on the pitch that everyone pitched in one inning.
Gaussmann’s previous high on the pitch in the innings had returned 44 times when he was with Baltimore in 2017.
Home Plate Judge Chris Conroy threw a Blue Jays starter on his way out of the game.
Toronto skipper John Schneider finds himself kicked out for the fifth time after insisting on a strike.
The Yankees win Game 11-2 and aim to clean up the double header and win the series.
