Dr. Jay Batacharya has acquired a much-needed role as Director of the National Institutes of Health, and reaching the root cause of American health issues has prevented the people at the American Institute of Health to be happy as Btacharya has worked throughout his career.
“I want to fulfill the mandate that President Trump and President Kennedy gave me, which is to use the NIH to do research.
And one of the first steps Bhatacharya is taking is to launch a major initiative that forces scientists across the country to actually answer the question of why autism has risen so significantly in recent years.
“The problem with autism is, first of all, looking back, the rise is a meteor,” Batacharya tells Savage.

But questioning the causes of autism or focusing on its rise is consistent with mistrust of vaccines and “anti-science.”
“If somehow I realise that there are more children with autism than I was a child, you are automatically anti-vaccine. And you put it together. And all you have is the millions of families who don't have the answer to this question,” he explains.
In the coming months, Bhatacharya tells Savage that Americans can expect to see the massive amounts of resources cast on the issue.
“In just a few months, we had more than a dozen research teams, where we chose competitive ones from many research teams across the country,” he says. “It'll be in a variety of ways. So, as you know, you name it and there's no forbidden hold about the hypothesis.”
We seem to be in good hands as Dr. Bhatacharya was one of the only voices that was willing to oppose the federal response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The rest of the industry was saying, 'No, you're wrong.' And they say, “Don't say what you're saying.”
“It was a shocking experience for me. I thought scientists had academic freedom. I learned something else. In fact, perhaps the biggest problem with Covid was. Usually, if you don't get free speech, if you can't have science, it's what I learned.
“We suppressed the speeches of scientists. The Biden administration suppressed speeches from ordinary Americans who questioned school closures, lockdowns, and all the policies that actually protected no one, but it still hurt a lot of people on a massive scale,” he continues.
“That's actually another of my priorities. I want to restore science's freedom of speech,” he adds.
