Turning Point USA founder and CEO Charlie Kirk said Thursday that former national security adviser Mike Waltz has left his role in welcome news.
President Donald Trump announcement Truth Social On Thursday, he nominated Waltz as ambassador to the United Nations, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio serving as interim national security adviser. Kirk from “Charlie Kirk Shaw” highlighted the role of waltz in the Atlantic, highlighting the story that editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg was mistakenly added to a group chat dedicated to discussing the “neo-sabbast” beliefs of Yemen's Hauches and former national security advisers. clock:
“Of course, Signal Chat is one of the more troubling developments of this administration up until now. Mike Waltz added an editor to the Atlantic Chief. “One of the excuses was, well, he saved his contact with Jeffrey Goldberg, and then he didn't know who he added, why he was there, what was going on.
“Now, Mike Waltz and I had a great relationship,” he continued. “He knew we had a big disagreement. That's what I really want to emphasize and mention here. Mike Waltz and his lieutenant Alex Wong represent a neoconservative view of foreign policy… The new attribute is actually the growth of Marxism from the 1940s and 50s. Length, and we intend to force American values to other parts of the world.”
Kirk argued that “neoconservatives” were responsible for the Iraq and Vietnam wars.
“Yesterday was Saigon's 50th anniversary of fall,” he said. “Neoconservatives brought us to Vietnam, so it's very fitting that the neoconservatives fall the day after Saigon fell 50 years ago.”
“And there's a big internal battle going on and it's showing up in this Mike Waltz, the situation for Alex Wong. Overall, this is a positive development for President Trump's administration,” he added. “Mike Waltz knows I haven't seen much with him. I told him on his face. It's not personal. I don't think we should go to war with Iran.”
Trump praised Waltz in the announcement of his nomination on Wednesday.
“From the days of uniformed on the battlefield, in Congress and as my national security adviser, Mike Waltz worked hard to put our country's interests first,” Trump wrote. “He knows he'll do the same in his new role.”
sauce I said I am semer that the traditional hawkish national security perspective of Waltz has led to problems with staff who have a more isolated perspective.
