Xiahan also called Operation Tidal Wave “a model that can be taken to other states and can make it a priority that the President has protected the American people to ensure that our community is safe and secure.”

“We had President Joe Biden, and we opened the borders and declared that people could basically come illegally. The enforcement of interior affairs was basically null and emptiness,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis told reporters Thursday. “And this was affecting communities across the country, including Florida, as well as the southern borders and regions of Texas and Arizona.”
“The Florida agency has supported federal authorities and has made it arrest more than 1,100 illegal aliens statewide, which has really been a huge impact,” the Republican continued. “And we're showing you whether we're going to continue to lead this issue. And you'll see some of the people who've been arrested. These are people who should never have been in our country. Some of these people have been deported previously.”

“We'll send you a message for the future. The United States is serious about enforcing immigration laws,” DeSantis said. “So under the previous president, we were able to come to the border knowing that we could pay the coyote and return home once we got there. We have a new sheriff in town. That's not allowed.”
