New York City man finds human ashes and fake teeth while tending to his garden, according to police.

A man in Queens stumbled upon something quite unsettling while working in his backyard this week, according to reports from law enforcement.

At around 8:30 PM on Thursday, the 33-year-old discovered bones mixed with human ash and dental prosthetics near Road 20, close to his residence on 150th Avenue in Whitestone. Understandably alarmed, he promptly contacted 911, as noted by a police source.

The medical examiner later confirmed that the remains were from human cremation, with bone fragments left behind. An investigation is currently in progress to uncover more details regarding the discovery.

It’s worth noting that, in New York City, anyone looking to bury a human body on private property must obtain the necessary permissions from both the landowner and the government.
