Emmanuel College admissions staff member Jacob Henriques dismissed for reportedly seeking sexual favors from a 17-year-old applicant after providing a tour.

Federal officials have accused enrollment staff at Boston College of harassing a 17-year-old prospective student, allegedly offering $400 for sex following a school tour.

Jacob Henriquez, 29, who formerly worked at Emmanuel University, was arrested after he reportedly targeted four potential students, sharing phone numbers, explicit material, and soliciting commercial sex from them.

In his role as an assistant admissions director, Henriquez misused access to student records. He purportedly reached out to the high school students during a visit on April 25.

Authorities claim they obtained registration information for the 17-year-old student, including her date of birth, just minutes before the tour began.

During the visit, he inquired about her grades and school, later using this information in text messages sent a few hours after their meeting.

In a text thread, Henriquez, not revealing his identity, offered $400 for “fun” and stated he could send pornographic photos and videos.

Even after several rejections, he continued messaging, asking if she wanted to engage in “gang rape” and whether she was interested in sex with him.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office has reported that he contacted nearly 50 teen profiles over a span of three days.

Despite attempts to block his phone numbers, the relentless Henriquez shifted to emailing her.

Federal agents arrested him on May 2, charging him with attempted sex trafficking of minors.

Henriquez graduated from Emmanuel University in 2021 and had been responsible for reviewing applications from students in several states.

Following the serious allegations, he was terminated from his position at the school.

Emmanuel College expressed its disappointment and shock at the allegations, labeling them contrary to their core values and voicing support for the victims impacted by the situation.

Henriquez is expected to appear in U.S. District Court in Boston on May 5.

The FBI’s Child Exploitation and Trafficking Task Force has initiated an investigation into these offenses. They have encouraged anyone else who may have been harmed by Henriquez to come forward.
