Netanyahu promises to take action against the Houthis and their Iranian backers after the airport attack.

On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to confront the Houthi rebels and their “Iranian terrorist masters” after missiles were launched at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv.

In a post on True Society in mid-March, President Trump remarked that there are “Hundreds of attacks being carried out on the sinister Yemeni gang and thugs Houthis, who are troubling the people of Yemen.”

He indicated that further retaliation from the Houthis would involve significant forces, suggesting that it could escalate beyond that. Iran, he claimed, is pretending to be “the innocent victim” of rogue terrorists who they no longer control, while asserting that they are still in control.

In response on the social platform X, Netanyahu echoed Trump’s sentiments with an emphatic “Absolutely right!”

“The attacks originate from Iran. Israel will respond decisively to Houthi strikes on our major airports and to their Iranian masters at our chosen targets,” Netanyahu stated.

Earlier on Sunday, Yemen-based Houthi rebels launched a missile that landed near the main terminal of Israel’s biggest airport, injuring eight people, according to Israeli reports.

The attack led Netanyahu to convene an urgent meeting of his security cabinet, while Israeli Defense Minister Katz affirmed that the military would retaliate.

“Anyone who harms us will be met with sevenfold retaliation,” Katz said in remarks to several news outlets.

On Wednesday, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegses warned Iran regarding its support for Houthi extremists.

“Message to Iran: We are aware of your deadly support for the Houthis. We understand exactly what you’re doing, and the U.S. military is prepared—to take note of that,” he cautioned.
