Russell Wilson and Ciara made quite the impression in New York.
The new Giants quarterback and the singer of “Ecstasy” certainly stole the spotlight at the 2025 Met Gala on Monday night.
Wilson, age 36, opted for a classic look in a black tuxedo with a long black coat, accessorized with a cane, while Ciara, 39, dazzled in a striking black and silver bodycon dress adorned with diamond-like strings.
Ciara’s outfit was designed by Laquan Smith, the same designer behind Halle Berry’s stunning Met Gala ensemble.
This was Wilson’s first appearance at the Met Gala, while Ciara had attended previously. In 2021, she turned heads in a lime green sequined dress from Dundas, inspired by Wilson’s Seattle Seahawks jersey.
During the event, Ciara sported a Super Bowl ring that belonged to Wilson, who famously won Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 when Seattle triumphed over Denver.
The couple has been quite busy since Wilson signed a short-term deal with the Giants back in March.
Just recently, they attended Game 1 of the Knicks vs. Pistons playoff series at Madison Square Garden, where they sat courtside with Ciara’s son, Future Junior.
Last week, they co-hosted a party to kick off the Sports Illustrated Miami Race, while Ciara surprised fans with the release of her new album, “CICI,” on July 11th.
Notable guests at the 2025 Met Gala included racing driver Lewis Hamilton, Chicago Sky star Angel Reese, Olympian Simone Biles and her husband, Jonathan Owens, Safety for the Chicago Bears, among others.
The exhibition’s theme this year is “Superfine: Tailing Black Style,” highlighting the contributions of black designers and elevating their styles.
This theme draws inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, *Fashion for Slave: Styling Black Dandism and Black Diasporic Identity*, and is divided into 12 sections that celebrate traits such as ownership, distinction, and heritage.
