Stock Market Update
This morning on Tuesday, stock futures are trading, and there are a few companies that might catch investors’ attention today:
- Wall Street is anticipating that Marriott International Inc. will announce a quarterly profit of $2.25 per share along with revenues of $6.17 billion before the market opens. In after-hours trading, Marriott shares climbed 0.9% to $249.59.
- There are expectations for Archer-Daniels-Midland Co. to report quarterly earnings of 67 cents per share and revenues reaching $219.4 billion. The revenue report is set to come out before the market opens. However, Archer-Daniels-Midland stocks dropped 0.2% to $47.43 in after-hours trading.
- Palantir Technologies Inc. shared its revenue figures for the first quarter on Monday, reporting $883.86 million—slightly above analysts’ expectations of $862.83 million. The company reported a first-quarter adjusted revenue of 13 cents per share, matching projections and even increased its annual guidance. Palantir’s stock was priced at $112.32 during after-hours trading.
Looking ahead to pre-market analysis:
- Celanese Corp. exceeded expectations for its first-quarter results, announcing second-quarter adjusted earnings anticipated between $1.30 and $1.50 per share, while the market had estimated around $1.41. Celanese shares rose significantly by 6.3% to $47.57 in after-hours trading.
- As for Advanced Micro Devices Inc., analysts expect a quarterly profit of 94 cents per share against revenues of $7.13 billion after the market closes. AMD shares saw a modest increase of 0.3%, closing at $100.84 in after-hours trading.
