During an episode of CNN’s “Agenda” that aired on Wednesday, Representative Dan Goldman (D-NY) expressed concern over what he described as President Donald Trump’s unconstitutional behavior, suggesting it poses a significant threat.
Goldman remarked, “This idea is misleading. We won the election, but that doesn’t give us the right to disregard the Constitution or break our laws.”
Host Casey Hunt asked, “Do you really think the president will uphold the Constitution?”
Goldman responded, “I have no confidence in that. Not at all.”
He continued, “He hasn’t acted according to legitimate processes. Just last week, I encountered a situation regarding foreign emoluments when I purchased Donald Trump’s stablecoin backed by the UAE. Our constitution and basic democratic principles appear increasingly aggressive and antagonistic towards both the courts and the Constitution itself.”
