There’s considerable concern within Bill Belichick’s family regarding the ongoing situation involving Jordon Hudson, the girlfriend of the UNC football coach. This controversy gained attention following her appearance on CBS last month.
Pablo Torre, a former ESPN personality, mentioned on his show that the family of the legendary coach is investigating Hudson. “Bill Belichick’s family is very concerned about the developments,” Torre shared. A family insider expressed deep worries about Jordon’s impact, emphasizing concerns about Belichick’s legacy and reputation, which he has built over decades.
Torre’s revelations came shortly after Belichick’s much-talked-about interview on “CBS Sunday Morning”. Hudson had sidestepped inquiries regarding how they met, saying, “We’re not talking about this,” during the segment aired on April 27.
Reports say Belichick, who is 73, first met Hudson in 2021 during a flight, three years prior to their romance becoming public. The only family member to voice opinions publicly on Hudson is his stepdaughter, Jennifer Schmidt, who is married to his son Stephen.
Schmidt reacted to an Instagram post about Hudson leaving the CBS set, indicating that public relations should be handled professionally and without disruption during interviews.
The former Patriots coach previously had a long-term relationship with Linda Holiday, which began in 2007, with their split reported in September 2023.
Hudson has gained attention recently, especially after her role in a Dunkin commercial featuring Belichick that aired during the Super Bowl. Sources suggested that Hudson’s influence is growing, which raises questions about power dynamics and decision-making in Belichick’s circle.
As Belichick prepares for his first college coaching season, Hudson is known at UNC, but the university has denied Torre’s claims that she is barred from their facilities. They clarified that while Hudson isn’t an employee of the college, she is permitted to use the athletic facilities and will manage activities related to Belichick’s personal brand.
In a statement on Friday, Torre indicated that the insights shared in his episode stemmed from high-level sources within the football program. Belichick’s family, including his three adult children and ex-wife Debby, reportedly hopes that this relationship with Hudson will be beneficial for him.
