On the “Alex Marlow Show” this past Friday, host and Breitbart’s editor-in-chief, Alex Marlow, talked about Pope Leo XIV.
Marlow expressed that being Leo would compel him to reflect on his own role before passing any judgments.
He noted that Leo’s position is beneficial since it could counter the unfavorable perceptions of Americans globally. Being multilingual increases his reach, he believes. “His pro-life credentials appear impeccable… and he stands firm on gender issues, which is all quite populist. He embodies populism,” he said.
Continuing, Marlow remarked, “In my view, populism can’t exist without nationalism, and I don’t see that nationalism; instead, I see globalism.” He hopes Leo recognizes that he treats undocumented people in America with dignity, and while he might not emphasize tradition as much as he should, his first homily was commendable.
Marlow also mentioned that Leo has some takes on climate and immigration that might need reevaluation, but he could contribute to bridging divides within the church.
