Sculpture of Historic Moment in Butler, PA, Shown in Oval Office

A bronze sculpture, capturing a tense moment from an assassination attempt on Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, coincides with the 2024 presidential campaign.

The artwork depicts three Secret Service agents standing ready, fists raised, with the American flag in the background.

During a recent signing of executive orders, reporters and photographers spotted this new sculpture displayed on Trump’s resolute desk.

Notably, one of the agents in the sculpture is Shaun Curran, the Secret Service Director appointed by Trump himself.

Another agent, a woman, has faced criticism for perceived shortcomings in her duties, yet Trump has publicly defended her, praising her willingness to “take a bullet” for him.

On July 13, 2024, a bullet was fired from a rooftop near the Butler Farm Show by a suspect identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, which narrowly missed Trump.

Several more shots rang out, injuring two individuals and resulting in the death of Cory Comperatore, a former volunteer fire chief who tried to shield his family.

The shooting ceased when the sniper was taken down with a shot exceeding 100 yards.

As Trump was escorted from the stage, he momentarily paused, bleeding, and raised his fists towards the crowd, shouting, “Fight, fight, fight.”

This sculpture is a small version of a statue proposed by artist Stan Watts, who has previously created memorials for Martin Luther King Jr. and the 9/11 firefighters.

The work is part of the Trump Statue Project, which aims to erect a nine-foot replica honoring the president. A statement from the group describes this powerful image as embodying “confidence, strength, hope,” symbolizing American unity and resilience.
