Hansi Flick claims Barça ‘don’t seem like champions’ after a chaotic clásico.

Hansi Flick mentioned he might need to check his heart after witnessing Barcelona’s stunning comeback from 2-0 down to triumph 4-3 over Real Madrid in a thrilling match that pretty much sealed their league and cup doubles in their debut season.

Barcelona seemed to shake off the title pressure after an early flurry from Kylian Mbappé, who scored two goals within 15 minutes. That brought their rivals close in the standings, but goals from Eric Garcia and Raminyar, along with two from Rafinha, put Barcelona ahead by halftime.

Mbappé completed his hat-trick, yet both sides had chances, including a missed golden opportunity for debutant Victor Muñoz to equalize in the dying moments.

The win left them with seven points clear, yet Flick commented, “We don’t feel like champions.” He stressed the need for defensive improvements. Barcelona also faced a tough time against Inter in the Champions League semis.

“I might need to check my heart,” the Barcelona coach said. “It’s easy to say you should score four if you’ve allowed three. We really need to improve our defense. Pushing hard is one thing, but mistakes can complicate things.”

“It’s fantastic to have three titles and we only need one more win. But, you know, this is soccer. We’re in a good place, yet anything can happen. We still need those three points, and all our opponents are eager to beat us.”

With Barcelona playing attractive soccer and eyeing a target of 95 points in La Liga, Flick admitted, “In the end, I was nervous. So many emotions were in play.”

“It’s not always straightforward, but I’m really happy with what we’re achieving. We aim to get better with every match. There’s plenty of potential. The team’s attitude is fantastic.”
