Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Become Subject of Jokes
Recently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle found themselves as the subject of humor in a segment on “Saturday Night Live.” During the “Weekend Update,” cast member Colin Jost had a few jabs at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
To add to the mix, Jost remarked on a new trade agreement with the UK, highlighting President Trump’s initiation of plans to “resume the UK market for American companies.” It’s a bit of a strange setup, considering the couple’s past with media scrutiny.
Harry and Meghan officially relocated to Montecito, California, in March 2020, choosing to step back from royal duties due to the persistent attention from British media, which they felt was intrusive, coupled with what they described as inadequate support from the royal household.
Since their departure from royal duties, they’ve shared insights about their experiences within the royal family. This includes their candid interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, the Netflix series “Harry & Meghan,” and Harry’s memoir titled “Spare.”
Jost quipped, “President Trump has also announced a new trade agreement with the UK that will resume the UK market for American companies… All the UK needs in return is that we will keep these two.”

This comedic moment came after Harry expressed his desire to mend fences with his family during a BBC interview, stating, “There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore.” He acknowledged long-standing disagreements within the family but remained hopeful about reconciliation.
Harry noted, however, that any decision regarding family reunification rests entirely with them. And, you know, it kind of feels like there’s still a lot left unsaid on that front.
Interestingly, royal commentator Hillary Fordwich conveyed to Fox News Digital that Prince William appears to prioritize “monarchy protection” and is hesitant about reconciliation.
This history has created a noticeable rift over the years, particularly intensified by Harry’s recent interviews and his departure from traditional royal roles. William, it seems, is more focused than ever on his future responsibilities as king.
Meanwhile, Harry and Markle were spotted enjoying a night out at a Beyoncé concert in Los Angeles, part of their “Cowboy Carter” tour. Markle shared some delightful moments from the evening, including dancing and affectionate gestures, with a sweet touch on Harry’s hat that featured names like “Archie,” “Lili,” and “My Love.”
She posted, “Thank you @Beyonce and Team for an amazing concert (and a very enjoyable date night)! All the love.”
