Michael Jordan Becomes Contributor for NBC

Michael Jordan Joins NBC as NBA Contributor

NBC announced on Monday that basketball legend Michael Jordan will become a special contributor to their NBA coverage starting in the 2025-26 season.

“A legendary addition to our team!” NBC shared on X. “We are thrilled to welcome Michael Jordan as a special contributor to the NBA for NBC and Peacock.”

This marks the first time Jordan has worked with a network in this capacity.

“I’m very excited to see the NBA return at NBC,” Jordan expressed in a statement shared by NBC News. “The NBA at NBC is a meaningful part of my career, and I am eager to contribute to the project. I look forward to seeing everyone when NBC’s NBA begins this October.”

NBC Sports President Rick Koldella also commented on the announcement, saying, “We are extremely proud that he will be involved in our coverage.”

This will be the first time in 23 years that NBC has broadcast the NBA. The network held NBA rights from 1990 to 2002, covering all six championships won by Jordan with the Chicago Bulls.

Peacock will exclusively stream Monday night games, while NBC and Peacock will handle the regional doubleheader on Tuesdays. They are also set to launch Sunday Night Basketball in January.
