This concerning moment was revealed in the forthcoming book, *Original Sin*, by Alex Thompson and Jake Tupper, which discusses the efforts to mask Biden’s decline during his time in office.
According to the authors, it was evident that Biden didn’t seem to know who Clooney was. “Clooney was taken aback. The president didn’t recognize him, even though they had known each other for years,” they noted.
This incident occurred just weeks before the well-known actor, who co-hosted a fundraiser that raised around $30 million, publicly suggested that Biden should withdraw from the presidential race.
