On Tuesday, Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) expressed that President Donald Trump’s judicial nominee could face delays until answers are provided to Congress concerning a $400 million jet from Qatar.
“There are significant constitutional issues tied to this situation, particularly concerning Qatar and the aircraft. Additionally, national security concerns are present. Unfortunately, the President doesn’t seem particularly focused on those national security matters,” she noted.
When host Kate Bordan inquired, “Can Congress take any action regarding this?” Shaheen responded, “We’re exploring our options now. One approach is to pause any movement on judicial nominees until we obtain a response from the Attorney General.”
She continued, “We’re also assessing if there might be other applicable laws. I really hope our Republican colleagues become more involved in this matter.”
