Top Harris adviser blames Biden for significant election defeat.

Top advisors for the Harris-Walz presidential campaign have reportedly placed the blame for the Democratic Party’s significant election losses squarely on former President Joe Biden.

As Democrats look to hold one another accountable for the defeat in the 2024 elections, advisor David Pruffe has chosen to maintain his role in Biden’s campaign despite the fallout.

Biden’s brief reelection effort, according to some, has turned into a “nightmare” for Kamala Harris’s electoral chances.

This insight comes from a forthcoming book co-authored by CNN’s Jake Tupper and Axios’s Alex Thompson.

“It’s all Biden. … He totally messed us up,” Pruffe is reported to say in the book.

He further described Biden’s reelection campaign as a “total disaster” for Harris’s prospects.

Pruffe noted that a concerned donor reached out, expressing worries over Biden’s cognitive decline. He felt reassured by Democrats and White House officials that Biden was fit enough to pursue a second term.

Another startling detail revealed in the book is that one of Biden’s aides considered acquiring a wheelchair due to his declining health but ultimately decided against it, fearing it would negatively impact his reelection bid.

Politico noted that a spokesperson for Biden did not respond to inquiries for comments.

While many have criticized Biden’s decision to run again, some, like Pennsylvania Democrat Senator John Fetterman, have also pushed back against former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for backing Biden’s decision to remain in the race. In November, Fetterman stated, “She accepted this, being the enforcer, yet now she’s blaming Biden. You can’t have it both ways. You got what you wanted.”

The book is set to be published on May 20th.
