Suspected Axe Intruder Killed After Homeowners Shoot

In Duplin County, North Carolina, a homeowner reportedly fired at an intruder armed with an axe who was attempting to break in through the back door.

The incident took place around 6:30 AM on a Sunday.

Upon arrival, deputies from the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office discovered David Bradley White lying at the foot of some stairs, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a press release from the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office, the deputies found a large axe and other weapons near White’s body, as well as damage to the back door.

Currently, there are no charges against the homeowner, and the investigation is ongoing.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported for the homeowner during this incident.
