Jesse Watters Defends Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Swim in Rock Creek
On Tuesday, Fox News host Jesse Watters expressed his support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the Secretary of Health and Human Services, stating that the water in Rock Creek “looks pretty.” He emphasized this during a segment on “The Five,” remarking that it doesn’t appear to be contaminated.
Kennedy had recently shared that he took a swim in a stream located in the heart of Washington, D.C. In a post on Social Platform X, he mentioned enjoying a hike at Jackson and Dumbarton Oaks Park, and swimming with his grandson, which included several photos, one showing him wet from the stream.
However, the National Park Service (NPS) warned on its website that Rock Creek has elevated levels of bacteria and other infectious pathogens, making swimming and water contact risky for people and pets. They urged caution, advising visitors to stay away from the water.
Watters further compared the stream to the Hudson River, suggesting that its appearance didn’t pose an immediate health threat.
