The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has recently introduced an opportunity for individuals to apply for a multi-entry visa valid for six months, starting from the date of entry. Known as the “Blue Visa,” this document allows for a decade of residency for notable contributors in specific fields, as recognized by the country’s federal authorities responsible for identity, citizenship, customs, and port security. Areas of interest include environmental protection, sustainability, and clean, renewable energy.
This Blue Visa was initially announced in 2024 and is now officially available. Eligible applicants can apply regardless of whether they are currently in the UAE or abroad.
Who will benefit?
Individuals who have made significant impacts in the mentioned fields, like scientists and researchers focused on environment and climate sustainability, investors, entrepreneurs, and professionals working in environmental agencies within the UAE, are potential candidates for this visa.
The UAE is placing increasing emphasis on sustainability, making this visa in line with its long-term goals of fostering a more sustainable environment. The year 2024 was marked as a sustainability milestone for the country.
