I’m Not Confirming Whether I Knew Biden Was Capable in Early ’24, ‘That’s All’

Schumer Avoids Question on Biden’s Fitness for Reelection

During a segment on CNN’s “Arena” on Tuesday, Senator Chuck Schumer, the Senate minority leader from New York, sidestepped inquiries regarding whether President Joe Biden might be unfit for another term in February 2024. His response was simply, “That’s all.”

Host Casey Hunt pointed out that Schumer had been present with Biden in the Oval Office on February 27, 2024, just a few months before the president’s anticipated debate phase. Hunt noted that there were reports of discussions among Schumer and other Democratic leaders prior to this. He expressed curiosity about Schumer’s personal observations that day, suggesting he had a clear view of the interactions.

Schumer responded, “Casey, we’re looking forward to it. We’re facing significant challenges with Medicaid right now. The entire federal government is at stake.”

Hunt pressed on, stating, “But he’s dealing with this as a result of losing the presidential election. Isn’t it Joe Biden’s choice to run again that’s at issue?”

Schumer reiterated, “We’re looking forward to it.”

Hunt continued to follow up on the topic.

In the end, Schumer concluded with, “That’s all.”
