US-Qatar Economic Agreement

On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump met with Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The White House announced that their agreement is expected to generate at least $1.2 trillion in economic exchanges. Among the details shared in a fact sheet, the deal encompasses a significant $9.6 billion agreement with Qatar Airways. This involves the purchase of up to 210 Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 777x aircraft equipped with GE aerospace engines. Additionally, there are intentions stated that could lead to $38 billion in investments related to Al-Udaid Air Force Base and enhancements in air defense and maritime safety capabilities.
