On Thursday, President Donald Trump made a special birthday gesture for World War II veteran Denver Moore, who recently turned 104. Moore, residing in Ohio, is known for his long-standing support of Trump and gained some fame in March after inviting the president to his birthday celebration, resulting in a viral TikTok video that has received over 890,000 views.
In the video, Moore said, “President Trump… I hope to turn 104 in May. I’m inviting you to my party at the Canal Fulton. I’m going to vote for you again and I hope I can vote for you a little more.” Following this, Ohio Representative Michael Rulli informed Moore that Trump had sent him a birthday video message.
“Hello, Denver! I wish you a very happy 104th birthday from your greatest president of all time. That’s me, Donald Trump,” he said in the clip. Trump mentioned his inability to attend the party, citing international commitments but expressed gratitude for Moore’s service and support.
Currently, Trump is concluding a significant tour in the Middle East, recently arriving in the United Arab Emirates, marking the first visit by a US president to the country in almost 20 years.
Moore, who resides in a senior living facility near Cleveland, responded humorously after viewing the video, playfully acknowledging that his birthday wish had come true. “It didn’t happen to someone better,” he remarked.
In April, Moore shared with Fox News Digital how his viral birthday request for his “favorite president” garnered attention from people across the country and even as far away as Africa, with many fans sending him messages and birthday cards. “It was a pretty good ride,” he said, reflecting on the experience.
Representative Rulli noted the impressive milestones of Moore’s life and his deep sense of patriotism upon viewing the viral video, expressing surprise that such an incredible veteran lived within his district.
Lawmakers had reached out to the White House to see if there was a way for Trump to fulfill Moore’s heartfelt request, leading to the recording of personalized video messages for him. “His life and service are testament to the spirit of our nation,” Rulli added.
Moore has been a dedicated Trump supporter, maintaining that he largely agrees with the president’s actions. “He may make a mistake, but he does almost everything right,” he previously stated in an interview.
Before retiring, Moore served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II, later working for the US Postal Service. He was married to his late wife Thelma Lee for 75 years and raised three children together. His family and friends attest to his mental acuity and active lifestyle despite his age, which he believes contributes to his longevity. “I was always doing something,” he said, recalling his years of delivering mail and growing up on a farm.
