Two-year-old boy survives a 15-story fall from a high-rise in Maryland by landing on bushes: ‘Incredible’

A 2-year-old boy survived a fall from the 15th floor of a Maryland apartment building, landing on a mass of roots below, as reported by officials on Friday.

The child, who has not been identified, fell through a glass-walled private balcony in a White Oak apartment complex on Thursday afternoon. The circumstances of the incident were covered by ABC News.

Authorities are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the fall.

According to a firefighter, David Pazos, the boy’s survival can likely be attributed to the presence of shrubs and his small size and weight.

The child, whose parents were home at the time, was conscious after the fall and sustained what was described as a “traumatic” injury, but curiously, the most apparent injury was a broken arm.

He was quickly taken to the hospital, although details about his condition were not immediately available, as stated by an official. Montgomery County Police are investigating further into the incident.
