Hillary Clinton offers her sympathies following Biden’s cancer diagnosis.

Hillary Clinton honored former President Biden on Sunday following her announcement about being diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer.

In her brief statement, Clinton referenced Biden’s efforts, alongside his family, to combat the disease and highlight the importance of early detection.

“When Biden has cancer, it’s a disease where they did a lot to try and support other families,” Clinton shared on X.

She concluded her message with wishes for a quick and complete recovery.

After the loss of his son Beau to a brain tumor in 2015, Biden spearheaded the Obama administration’s cancer initiative, which was focused on boosting cancer research, enhancing prevention and treatment methods, and fostering collaboration in medical research, along with improving care access.

Upon returning to office as president, Biden revived the initiative with a similar commitment.

Not long after leaving the White House, Biden revealed his cancer diagnosis, mentioning that he was evaluating treatment options.

“This represents a more aggressive form of disease, but cancer seems to be hormone-sensitive, allowing for effective management,” his personal physician stated. “The president and his family are discussing treatment possibilities with his doctor.”

Biden and Clinton collaborated closely during their time in the Obama administration, which followed several years of working together in the Senate.
