Steve Burton Marries Michelle Lundstrom in Intimate Ceremony

Steve Burton, known for his role on “General Hospital,” married Michelle Lundstrom on Saturday in a small, family-only ceremony held in Laguna Beach, California. The couple participated in an orthodox church ritual and celebrated afterward at the Ritzi Montage Laguna Beach.

Burton, 54, proposed to Lundstrom, 44, in January. This union comes over a year after his divorce from ex-wife Shelly Gustin was finalized, which followed a public separation.

“It’s not just about the ceremony,” Burton shared. “It’s about the love and the start of my new life.”

Burton has three children with Gustin, while Lundstrom has two daughters from a previous relationship. Reflecting on their journey, Burton mentioned the significance of their celebrations, saying they held “more meaning than words could express.”

Lundstrom expressed her joy, stating, “I can spend the rest of my life with my best friend and grow together every day with faith and love.” She also remarked that marriage means everything to them. “Honestly, I’ve never felt so loved and cared for,” he added. “I am incredibly grateful to have her by my side. She is the most amazing, beautiful, selfless woman I’ve known.”

Lundstrom, a chef and content creator, described their relationship as a fairy tale, calling Burton “pure sunlight” and noting his uplifting, caring nature.

The couple had established a strong friendship before transitioning into a romantic relationship. Burton’s proposal took place at a farm in Nashville, where he had described plans for a romantic chapel. Lundstrom recalled the proposal as sweet and heartfelt, with her feeling a mix of emotion and surprise when he got down on one knee.

Burton’s divorce from Gustin was finalized in late 2023, nearly two years after their separation was made public. The former couple agreed to share custody of their children. Gustin has since welcomed another child.

Burton revealed their separation in an Instagram post last year, clarifying that while Gustin announced her pregnancy with her fourth child, he was not the father. Their split had a significant media presence but ultimately led to new beginnings for Burton and Lundstrom.
