Who is Dawn Richard, the witness in the Diddy trial?

Dawn Richard Testifies Against Diddy in Sexual Assault Case

Singer Dawn Richard took the stand again on Monday during the sex trafficking trial concerning music mogul Diddy (Sean Combs) at a federal court in Manhattan.

At 41, Richard is known for being a former member of Danity Kane, an all-girls group established by Combs back in 2004 under his Bad Boy Records label.

During her testimony, Richard recounted experiences from 2009 to 2011, where she described Combs as frequently violent towards his former girlfriend, Kathy Ventura.

She had previously participated in Combs’ MTV reality show, “Making the Band,” and just this past September, she filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault. In her claims, Richard mentioned a shocking incident where Combs allegedly broke into a dressing room and groped her.

Furthermore, she recalled a disturbing occasion when Combs invited her to his home in Miami, appearing there in nothing but his underwear. Richard recalled the unsettling feelings that arose from such encounters.

On Friday, she detailed one particular distressing incident to the judge, explaining how she witnessed Combs being abusive towards Ventura, slamming a frying pan onto the floor. According to Richard, the following day, he confronted both her and other artists in the recording studio, making threats that left them shaken.
