Passenger Disturbed by Cockroaches on Spirit Airlines Flight

A passenger on a Spirit Airlines flight in Florida had a shocking experience when he encountered cockroaches inside the airplane cabin. Symone Berry, who was seated in one of the airline’s premium “big front seats,” described the unsettling incident that took place on May 11.

Berry reported, “I saw a cockroach crawl on the plane.” She shared her experience on social media platforms like X and TikTok, expressing her disappointment. “I will never fly with @spiritairlines again,” she tweeted.

In another follow-up, she mentioned, “I’ve flown over 500,000 miles with Delta, and I’ve never seen a cockroach on an airplane.” The shocking encounter led her to assert, “This is crazy.” Berry’s footage depicted various cockroaches wandering around the aircraft, which only intensified her frustration about the situation.

Although the airline offered Berry a voucher, it didn’t sway her negative impression of them, as she indicated in a follow-up video. Spirit Airlines later addressed the situation, acknowledging the issue and stating that their maintenance team had conducted a thorough inspection of the aircraft to ensure cleanliness. They emphasized their commitment to maintaining a high standard of tidiness throughout their fleet.

The whole ordeal certainly raises eyebrows, as flying should ideally be free from unwelcome critters. While Berry’s experience is unique, it’s a reminder that travel can occasionally lead to unexpected surprises—both good and bad.
