Jake Tapper Discusses Biden’s Condition in NPR Interview
In a recent interview with NPR’s “Everything Considered,” CNN host Jake Tapper shared insights regarding President Joe Biden. He noted that there is visible evidence of decline, yet, according to Tapper, Biden’s team assures everyone that the president is doing fine. Tapper remarked, “I wish I was more offensive” in addressing these concerns.
Tapper mentioned a specific moment when Biden provided a “rambling” response, saying, “We finally defeated Medicare.” It left Tapper in disbelief. He emphasized that everyone has observed Biden aging and stumbling, pointing out the undeniable signs of decline. However, it seems that Biden’s team, which includes family members and senior advisors, is adamant that he is doing well.
Co-author and Axios National Political Correspondent Alex Thompson also weighed in, discussing how both he and Tapper perceive Biden’s functionality. They have both been aggressive in their reporting, especially regarding the White House’s handling of these issues.
