Hume Discusses Biden’s Health and Democratic Leaders’ Accountability
Britt Hume shared his insights with Fox News on Monday, suggesting that the consequences of former President Joe Biden’s alleged cover-up would impact Democratic leaders for generations.
On Sunday, Biden’s office confirmed that he has been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer, a revelation mentioned in the forthcoming book, Original Sin, authored by CNN anchor Jake Tupper and reporter Alex Thompson. During his appearance on “Special Report with Brett Baier,” Hume highlighted a pattern of high-ranking Democrats and Biden officials who seem to be overlooking the president’s health status.
“I think they’re very real. There’s a significant amount of accountability needed from many Democrats because, as I mentioned before, they were trying to conceal things that I had never disclosed,” Hume stated. “There’s a whole generation of Democratic politicians who need to address this situation.”
Hume did not hold back when criticizing senior Democrats and members of the Biden administration, including former national security adviser Jake Sullivan.
“Sullivan said he wasn’t aware of the situation. How could that be? They had to know. It’s hard to believe they didn’t see it, and yet they attempted to hide it. They failed,” he remarked.
Following this, Sullivan, on Thursday, claimed he had limited knowledge about the president’s health decline.
Hume also shifted his criticism toward the media, condemning prominent journalists and suggesting a coordinated effort to shield Biden from criticism.
“I’m not sure how they’ll manage to escape accountability—whether it’s the Democrats involved in this or the media members who refused to acknowledge the situation,” Hume said.
Concerns regarding Biden’s mental fitness had already surfaced, marked by verbal missteps and frequent stumbles leading up to his inauguration in January 2021. While many Democrats initially dismissed these concerns, a few began to change their stance by June 2024, particularly after his challenging debate with then-President Donald Trump.
Dr. Ezekiel Emmanuel, a former official from the Obama administration, stated on MSNBC on Monday that Biden likely had the cancer as early as 2021.
