Authorities Arrest Killer, Gang Member, and Sex Offenders

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced that several undocumented individuals with criminal convictions in Minnesota have been arrested recently. This follows Governor Tim Walz’s comments likening federal immigration enforcement to historical oppressive regimes.

While addressing an audience at the University of Minnesota Law School this week, Walz drew a controversial parallel between ICE agents and Hitler’s Gestapo.

“Donald Trump’s modern Gestapo is picking people off the streets, operating in unmarked vans,” he asserted.

In reaction, DHS officials detailed several instances where individuals who were unlawfully present and had criminal records were apprehended by Minnesota’s ICE agents.

“I am fed up with Governor Walz’s comments comparing ICE agents to the Gestapo,” stated DHS Deputy Commissioner Tricia McLaughlin.

Such rhetoric has led to a staggering 413% increase in attacks against our officers. While politicians like Walz focus on shielding criminal illegal aliens, our ICE officers remain committed to risking their lives to apprehend dangerous individuals, including murderers and sexual predators, who have entered the country due to previously lax border policies. One noteworthy arrest was Abdirashid Hermi, 50, originally from Somalia, who was captured this month after being found guilty of murder, driving under the influence, and disorderly conduct.

Another was Eric Martinez Mondragon, a 25-year-old gang member from Mexico, who was arrested in April after being convicted of robbery and illegal firearm possession.

Additionally, two individuals identified as child sex offenders, Marco Quizpi Granda and Octavio Juarez Bonilla, were also detained by Minnesota ICE agents. Granda was convicted of criminal sexual conduct involving a child, while Juarez Bonilla was guilty of possessing child pornography.

Other undocumented individuals apprehended in Minnesota recently include those convicted of domestic violence, firearm offenses, robbery, drug trafficking, and sexual assault.
