Marco Rubio Confronts Globalist Senator Chris Van Hollen

Senate Hearing Dynamics

During today’s Senate hearing, Secretary of State Marco Rubio addressed criticisms from Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) in a composed manner.

Van Hollen remarked, “You and I have served in Congress for 15 years… I have to tell you directly and personally that I regret voting for the Secretary of State.” This observation was made as Rubio underwent the customary scrutiny faced by officials during Senate sessions.

In response, Rubio stated, “Your regret for voting for me ensures I do a good job.” Van Hollen then urged the need for attention to immigration issues, notably advocating for the return of an undocumented immigrant from El Salvador.

Rubio took the opportunity to outline President Donald Trump’s immigration strategy. “Our immigration policy should be based on the national interests of the United States—period,” he asserted during the hearing.

Rubio elaborated on the complexities of immigration: “There are many heartbreaking stories worldwide. We can’t possibly bring everyone here. It’s essential to have a process for prioritization. Our current immigration system mainly emphasizes family reunification, which isn’t always beneficial for society. A change is necessary, but that requires legislative action.”

He criticized the notion that anyone wishing to enter the U.S. should be granted access, stating, “No country operates under such loose immigration policies.”

Rubio’s journey in immigration politics began in 2013, initially supporting amnesty efforts. Since his appointment as Secretary of State, he has been involved in shutting down certain labor channels from South America.

Continuing his dialogue with Van Hollen, Rubio remarked:

“First of all, I am quite proud of my work with USAID. I don’t regret cutting funding for various projects that don’t seem essential. For example, we spent $227,000 on a YouTube channel dedicated to Big Cats. These expenses raise questions about priorities.”

He further emphasized, “We have successfully deported gang members, including those involved in trafficking and violence.”

Van Hollen countered, claiming Rubio was making baseless declarations.

Rubio fired back, insisting, “There is a clear division between federal branches. The judicial branch cannot dictate foreign policy implementation to the executive branch. I am not required to disclose diplomatic methods or negotiations.” He condemned Van Hollen’s support for foreign anti-Israel actions, explaining, “I can revoke visas easily. Citizenship isn’t a guarantee, and privileges can be withdrawn.”

Van Hollen responded with disbelief, calling the statements “pathetic.”
