Steve Cohen urges fans to hang in there as Mets keep losing

Steve Cohen is encouraging Mets fans to stay calm after the team lost their third game in a row, dropping to 2-0 against the Red Sox on Tuesday. After a promising start in April, the Mets struggled, finishing May with a disappointing record of 8-10.

“Welcome to the ups and downs of baseball season. I’ll pass this too. LGM,” Cohen shared on social media.

As the Mets work to find their rhythm again, there’s a lot of focus on the team. This situation has led to increased scrutiny of Juan Soto’s performance, especially after some criticisms from analysts and former players suggesting he needs to step up his game.

Concerns about Soto’s happiness have also been floating around, fueled by these discussions. The team’s struggles were evident again on Tuesday, as they failed to capitalize with runners in scoring positions, going 0-7 in that regard.

Entering the game, the Mets ranked 21st in the league for their performance with runners in scoring position.

The Mets face the Red Sox again on Wednesday before heading home to take on the Dodgers in a rematch of last year’s NLCS.
