Ex-Texas A&M Star Brian Williams Passes Away Following Half-Marathon Completion

Tragic Passing of Former Texas A&M Safety Brian Williams

Brian Williams, a former safety for Texas A&M, passed away unexpectedly over the weekend at the age of 24, shortly after finishing a half marathon.

Williams graduated last year with an engineering degree and had played three seasons with the Aggies from 2019 to 2021.

He had recently competed in a half marathon in Texas and, tragically, succumbed to what is believed to be a severe heat stroke, according to reports from his brother.

The news has deeply affected friends, family, and former teammates, who quickly shared their condolences upon hearing about his passing.

Hailing from Dallas, Williams graduated from Bishop Dunne Catholic High School, where he earned recognition as the Texas Defensive Player of the Year from USA TODAY.

Before his untimely death, he lived and worked in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
