Joe Mixon and his sister’s boyfriend brandish real guns in a new video of a Nerf war that went wrong

A video surfaced showing an incident outside Joe Mixon’s home in March 2023.

The footage includes a group of teens engaged in a Nerf gun battle in a Cincinnati suburb.

Another perspective reveals Mixon and his sister’s boyfriend, Lamonte Brewer, brandishing a real firearm.

Brewer was allegedly seen firing the gun, which resulted in injury to a 16-year-old.

Mixon recounted to investigators that his sister had a weapon nearby.

“She was outside and ran screaming, telling the kids to get inside and lock the door,” Mixon stated.

He expressed feeling “scared” following a series of threats related to his recent arrest.

“At one point, I was receiving numerous death threats and even bomb threats directed at my home,” he added.

Mixon described experiencing panic when a bullet unexpectedly shot past him.

“I found myself in freakout mode. I ran and felt like something was hitting me. I ended up hiding behind a tree in a fetal position. I even called my mom, asking if the front door was locked,” he explained.

“I was really desperate at that moment, holding my legs in pain, and fearing for my safety.”

In February, Brewer—who is a convicted felon—pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm illegally.

Meanwhile, Mixon, who played with the Bengals and is currently with the Texans, has not faced any charges but is being sued by the teenager’s legal guardian.
