Knicks Fall to Pacers in Overtime Thriller
The Knicks started strong at home during Game 1.
However, that momentum shifted.
Despite New York going on a 14-0 run early in the fourth quarter, they ultimately lost 138-135 in overtime at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.
In the closing moments of the fourth quarter, New York had a chance to wrap up the game but allowed Tyrese Halliburton to nail a crucial two-pointer just inside the three-point line.
New York was up by seven points at halftime, but that lead shrank to two in the opening minutes of the fourth. Then, with the 14-0 run, it looked like victory was in sight—until Indiana made a dramatic comeback.
Jalen Branson scored an impressive 43 points, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win for the Knicks, leaving fans feeling pretty disappointed.
Both teams will clash again at Madison Square Garden for Game 2 on Friday at 8 PM.
