Witness at DC Jewish Museum shooting describes the attack emotionally

Witnesses to the violent attacks in Washington, D.C. were left in tears as they recounted how the assailants approached employees at the Israeli Embassy with an unsettling familiarity.

John Elson, while walking past the Capital Jewish Museum late Wednesday, described to Sky News how one of the men appeared to be armed.

Elson became visibly emotional as he remembered witnessing the attack on a young couple, specifically naming them as Jaron Lisinski and Sarah Milgrim.

“I couldn’t quite grasp what was happening until I heard a shot. That’s when it hit me,” he recalled.

“And then he shot this young couple,” Elson reiterated, struggling to maintain his composure.

Taking a moment to collect himself, he continued to share his harrowing memories of the event.

“Then he ran around yelling something—I couldn’t catch the words,” he said, his voice shaking.

“He just took off… it was horrific. Truly horrific,” he added.

Elon remembered, “I don’t think he knew them, but he was right there with them.” Disbelief colored his expression as he recounted the incident.

Authorities later identified the shooter as 31-year-old Elias Rodriguez, who reportedly confessed to the crime.

Witnesses claimed he was seen on video shouting “Free Palestine” just after the tragic murder of the engaged couple, who were set to tie the knot the following week.
