Woman injured by gunfire in security event near CIA Headquarters, shortly after shooting at D.C. Jewish Museum

Early Thursday morning, a woman was fatally shot outside the CIA headquarters in northern Virginia. Law enforcement officials indicated she was following commands but still posed a threat at security checkpoints.

According to a report, CIA guards shot a female driver attempting to breach a security gate around 4 a.m. The individual was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The FBI is continuing its investigation.

The incident, described as a “non-fatal shooting,” was confirmed by a spokesperson from the Fairfax County Police Department. It occurred just after 4 a.m. at the main entrance to the agency.

The spokesperson provided the following statement: “FCPD officers are assisting in the area while the CIA is conducting an investigation.” An agency representative confirmed a security incident took place outside the headquarters, noting that the main gate remains closed until further notice.

The woman involved, identified as 27-year-old Monia Spadaro, is currently receiving treatment for her injuries. Authorities are investigating whether she was under the influence at the time.

Importantly, there appears to be no connection between this incident and a recent shooting at the Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., which resulted in the deaths of two Israeli embassy staff members. The museum is located about 12 miles from the CIA headquarters.
