I’m a single mother who works 16 hours a week but travels multiple times a year.

While many parents of toddlers focus on just getting through the day, one single mom has opted for something different—she’s booking flights.

This UK mother, who juggles work for only 16 hours a week, has managed to fit in several holidays each year.

Interestingly, she mentions that she doesn’t receive any government assistance apart from child benefits.

In a recent TikTok video, she shares how she manages to lead such an enriching life and offers advice to fellow parents.

“Keep Your Monthly Expenses as Low as Possible.”

In her TikTok content, the mother, known as 3kids3andunderMom, reveals her top tip for keeping her passport active. Travel is her priority.

She emphasizes living within her means.

“We avoid big, flashy homes, don’t drive new cars, and steer clear of designer brands,” she explained.

And she’s perfectly fine with that choice.

“Eventually, we might need a bigger house, but for now, my boys are happy, and that matters more,” she noted.

This approach helps her minimize monthly expenses and boost disposable income.

Even at ages 2, 4, and 5, her three sons participate in activities like swimming, scouting, and taekwondo—but she believes cutting back on material goods opens up more travel opportunities.

“We prioritize experiences over physical purchases, and the boys are totally on board,” she shared.

“If you ask them whether they prefer an outing or a new toy, it’s always the outing that wins,” she added.

“Mathematics is Not Mathematics.”

The reactions in the comments ranged from doubt to encouragement.

One viewer questioned, “Do you still live with your parents? You can’t possibly survive on a 16-hour work week.”

Others resonated with her, saying, “I’ve had similar thoughts; it’s great to hear someone else say it! Here’s to living our best lives!”

Meanwhile, another commenter provocatively stated, “Math isn’t math here.”

A lot of mothers value travel, and she’s one of them.

“I had the privilege of traveling a lot before my boys were born. Now, I want to expose them to the world beyond our hometown,” she expressed.

She knows that her lifestyle might not work for everyone.

“But if you can cut costs and go on more holidays, I’d recommend it wholeheartedly,” she concluded.
