Verdict Confirmed in Kim Kardashian Robbery Case

Convictions in Kim Kardashian’s Paris Robbery Case

On Friday, eight out of ten individuals were reportedly convicted in relation to the 2016 armed robbery that involved Kim Kardashian in Paris, France.

Authorities accused one woman and nine men of orchestrating the robbery. It was reported that two men entered Kardashian’s residence, tied her up, and threatened her during Fashion Week. Prosecutors described the event as a shocking heist, with jewels worth around $9 million stolen.

The majority of those accused are in their 60s and 70s, and they’ve become known as “Les Papys Braquurs” or “Grandpa’s Robbery.”

According to reports, Aomar Ait Khedache was found guilty of theft with a weapon and holding the victim against her will. He is believed to have ties to Paris’s criminal underworld. His son, Harminy Ait Khedache, was also convicted as an accomplice in the theft. Meanwhile, a third defendant, Fulurus Herowi, faced forgery charges. Gary Madar was acquitted of conspiracy, and Khedache’s girlfriend, Christiane Glotin, was found guilty of conspiracy and aiding in the escape.

Kardashian expressed gratitude towards the French authorities in a statement, saying, “This crime was the most frightening experience of my life and left a lasting impact on me and my family.” She emphasized the importance of growth and healing following such a harrowing experience.

Last week in court, Kardashian recalled the incident, saying, “I thought I would definitely die.” She focused on her need to return home to her child, prioritizing her safety over the stolen items.

Prosecutors are seeking ten-year sentences for the convicted individuals, including Khedache, Abbas, Didier Dubreucq, and Marc-Alexander Boyer.

During the court proceedings, Abbas acknowledged his responsibility for the crime, expressing regret. Khedache, who has medical conditions affecting his communication abilities, apologized directly to Kardashian, saying he cannot change the past but hopes she can find some peace.

Kardashian responded that while she forgives him, the emotional scars and trauma will remain with her. In a related note, the court found another defendant guilty of illegal possession of a firearm, while the tenth suspect was acquitted due to lack of evidence.

Interestingly, Abbas has also penned a book about the robbery, titled “I Lured Kim Kardashian.”
